Final AGATE Trip Payments Due on or before February 17

AGATE Monthly Meeting

Our next monthly AGATE parent meeting will be February 18th, at 3:15 p.m. in the GATE room.  Hope to see you there!

Junior High Quiz Bowl Students, Regional Quiz Bowl Saturday, Feb 7th at Cave City

The bus will need to leave the elementary school parking lot as close to 8:00 a.m. as possible.  You will need to bring a sack lunch.  Please be sure you turn in your permission forms this week. 

We will be heading to Cave City for a round robin tournament.  This means we will play ALL morning and ALL afternoon games.  Our return time will be late afternoon but I have no idea what time it will be.  (Parents) Please watch your phones for a group text message from me.  I will text parents when we are leaving Cave City to head home.   

Parents are welcome to attend. 

I would also love for some of my elementary (6th grade) students to attend as well.  Please let me know if you are interested in going.

I will not be able to answer my phone on the 7th-- I will be with the junior high quiz bowl team in a tournament at Cave City. 

HS Elementary Quiz Bowl Takes 2nd Place in the Arch Ford Regional Tournament

All students participating did a great job!!!!  Thanks to Mark and Colleen McKenzie for sending snacks for the day.  A big thank you to Mrs. Ratliff and Mrs. Pate for helping out during the tournament.  A really big thank you to all students who prepared and represented our school so well!!!  I am so proud to be part of such an awesome team :-)  Keep studying :-)

Our next tournament will be March 6 at Antioch Baptist Church in Conway.

Girls Code Program (8th and 9th Grades)

ASMSA is excited to announce a new installment of our Science and Engineering Institutes for young women in eighth and ninth grades interested in learning more about computer programming and technology.
 
The g1rls_c0de Program will meet on three separate Saturdays (2/28, 3/14 and 3/28) on our residential campus in Hot Springs from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  The day will consist of a morning and afternoon session with a lunch break in between.
 
There is no tuition cost for the program or lunch; however, students are expected to commit for all three Saturday sessions.

Elementary Quiz Bowl (6th Grade)

The elementary quiz bowl will travel to Clinton to participate in the Arch Ford tournament.  Students need to be in the GATE room by 7:30 a.m.  This is tournament play so will have no idea what time we will be back in Heber Springs.

Elementary and Junior High Quiz Bowl (Jan 12)
