Medieval Banquet - 5th Grade

The Power of People Helping Kids

The Heber Springs Elementary GATE students recently joined kids around the country and participated in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund). UNICEF works in 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child. UNICEF has spent 70 years working to improve the lives of children and their families; defending children's rights throughout their lives requires a global presence. The local students raised $420.00 for UNICEF and decided to use it to purchase two school-in-a-box kits, which will help 80 refugee kids learn and heal. These students set a goal and accomplished it... So proud of them for being a part of a global effort-Kids Helping Kids!!
